A BMW struck a pedestrian on a boulevard in Mykolaiv, leaving the victim in critical condition.

On the morning of Saturday, December 28, on Central Avenue in Mykolaiv, a BMW passenger car struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at an unauthorized location.

This was reported by a correspondent from "Novosti-N" at the scene.

The BMW was traveling on the avenue from the direction of Kherson Highway towards 6th Slobodskaya, in the far left lane. Just after the intersection with 9th Slobodskaya Street, a pedestrian unexpectedly appeared on the roadway, attempting to cross the avenue from left to right in the direction of the vehicle, approximately 5-6 meters from the crosswalk. The BMW driver was unable to brake in time and hit the pedestrian.

As a result of the accident, the pedestrian—a middle-aged man—sustained serious injuries. An ambulance took the injured man from the scene. His condition is assessed as critical.

The vehicle sustained mechanical damage.

Due to the accident, traffic on the avenue towards Sadovaya Street is obstructed.
