“Immoral Manipulations”: Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Responds to Hungary's Statements on Peace

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has urged Hungary to stop making statements about its ability to halt the war that are not in line with reality and to refrain from unilateral contacts with Russia. This is stated in a comment published by the ministry on Monday, December 16. "We call on the Hungarian side to cease immoral manipulations regarding peace and the Christmas holiday, and to avoid one-sided contacts with the aggressor state that undermine joint efforts to restore a just peace. The only obstacle to peace is Russia and its war-obsessed dictator. Ukraine seeks peace on its territory, more than anyone else in the world," the statement reads. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the actions of the Hungarian side are even further removed from peacemaking than its statements. For instance, Hungary consistently calls for leaving Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russian aggression, unarmed for self-defense, hinders funding for enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities, increases sanction pressure against the Russian Federation, and other critically important decisions. "It is towards achieving a fair and sustainable peace that our state's joint efforts and those of its partners are directed. Ukraine always adheres to the principles of honest dialogue and mutual respect. We will continue constructive contacts with our partners who genuinely strive to end the war, not to defeat Ukraine," the Foreign Ministry stated.A car fell into a deep ditch in MykolaivRussia is trying to conceal the losses of North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region — Zelensky
