The stories for the drawings were created by young patients
Two Israeli artists painted the shelter in the endocrinology department of "Okhmatdyt".
As reported by the hospital's press service, the project was led by Regina Shafir, the cultural attaché of the Israeli embassy, and Zoya Sever, the founder of the "Window to the World" project. These artworks will create a cozy atmosphere and help soothe children who are required to spend a lot of time in the shelter.
“Over the course of four days, the artists, together with the young patients of 'Okhmatdyt', invented stories and transferred them onto the walls. For the children, this was an incredibly interesting experience! After all, painting on walls is much more fun than on sheets of paper – when else would such an opportunity arise?” – shared the staff at 'Okhmatdyt'.
