This is happening in accordance with the decision of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
“The publishing house, which has been around for 102 years, is being liquidated. No one will be able to buy books from us anymore,” noted the head of the department at this enterprise, Victoria Ageeva, in a comment for Chytomo.
The bookstore on Tereshchenkivska Street and the online store of the publishing house are also closing. As Ageeva mentions, employees were informed about their layoffs two months prior to the cessation of the enterprise's activities.
The head of the commission for liquidation is Elena Zhuk, the deputy director for scientific and publishing activities of the publishing house "Akademperiodika."
The last day of operation for the publishing house's bookstore will be December 2, 2024.
The "Naukova Dumka" publishing house is a scientific and production enterprise that is part of the NAS of Ukraine. The institution was established in 1922, with the well-known Ukrainian writer, historian, and philologist Agatangel Krymsky leading the editorial team. In recent years, the publishing house has been releasing encyclopedias on various subjects and dictionaries of the Ukrainian language.
