The Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Center has launched its own online cinema

This was reported by the Dovzhenko Center on Facebook.

“Today, January 6, we are presenting our long-awaited online cinema. Now viewers have the opportunity to watch Ukrainian films from various eras legally and in the best quality,” said the Dovzhenko Center.

The platform “Dovzhenko Center. Online” features films digitized by the Dovzhenko Center's film laboratory. Until recently, these films could only be viewed at festivals, special screenings, and programs.

Films can be watched individually or within curated collections that introduce significant periods, genres, themes, figures, or ratings of Ukrainian cinema.

The films and collections will be constantly updated and expanded. They are accessible from anywhere in the world. The viewing fee for each feature film is 85 hryvnias.

The Dovzhenko Center also mentioned that the online cinema platform includes a “Lectory,” where lectures, interviews, courses, and archival materials on the history of Ukrainian cinema will be published. Today, six lectures can be viewed for free.
