Kyiv residents will continue the tradition that began in 2013 during the Revolution of Dignity
On Wednesday, December 25, a joint procession with caroling stars will take place in the center of Kyiv.
This was reported by the press service of the event organizer – the Ivan Honchar Museum.
The procession will be accompanied by carols performed by Kyiv folk groups.
“In Sofiivska Square, ‘Nova radist stala’ will be performed collectively. This event was established in 2013 during the Revolution of Dignity. Its purpose is to remind the citizens of ancient Ukrainian traditions and to unite in shared joy and the strength of the holiday. In times of war, the procession will serve as a testament to the resilience and steadfastness of traditions that have been carried on to this day despite prohibitions and destruction,” the statement reads.
The organizers invite everyone interested to participate.
“Together, we create support for one another and are capable of achieving the impossible during this crucial struggle. We will also carry stars for those who have given their lives in the war for Ukraine, for truth, and for light,” the museum representatives noted.
Participants are invited to gather at 14:00 at Mykhailivska Square. The procession will then proceed along the route: Sofiivska Square – Golden Gates – Volodymyrska Street – Opera House – Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street – Khreshchatyk – Independence Square.
Those wishing to take part in the procession are asked to bring caroling stars with them.
