The largest open-air museum in Ukraine invites you to a series of festive workshops
This weekend, the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life will host Christmas workshops.
This was reported by the museum's press service.
Craftswomen Victoria Fil and Alina Khodan will assist participants in creating traditional Ukrainian Christmas symbols: Didukh (a traditional sheaf of wheat), a straw "spider" – a talisman for the home that brings happiness and protects against misfortune, and a Christmas star using the Samchykivka painting technique.
“During the workshops, you will immerse yourself in the world of Ukrainian traditions, learn more about the history and symbolism of each item, master new techniques for working with straw and painting, and create a unique piece that will make a wonderful gift for yourself or loved ones,” the museum reported.
