The artwork emerged after the de-occupation of Hostomel
At the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra," a dismantled section of a wall featuring a piece by the renowned British street artist Banksy has been put on display.
This information was reported by the press service of the reserve.
It is important to remember that the drawing appeared on a building in Hostomel that was destroyed by Russian missiles. The graffiti depicts a woman in a bathrobe and curlers on her head, standing on a chair in front of a burnt-out window, holding a fire extinguisher and wearing a gas mask. The woman seems prepared to extinguish the fire ignited by Russia's attack on peaceful Ukrainians living their lives.
This artwork has become one of the symbols of resistance and revival. However, this story could have had a different ending — the fragment of the wall featuring the artwork was attempted to be stolen, but fortunately, it was preserved.
Let us remind you that on Sunday, November 10, the National Museum of History of Ukraine invites young Kyiv residents to a new masterclass titled "Basics of Petrykivka Painting."
