Ahead of Maslenitsa, residents and visitors of Kyiv are invited to learn about the tradition of celebrating Kolodiy
The event will take place at the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine (Lavra Street, 9) on February 23, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

So, we expect one of the "tastiest" holidays… There will be questions and answers: what is a "kolodka"? Why is it worn and how can one redeem themselves from it? What dishes are a must to prepare this week? Ultimately, who will win this duel: dumplings or pancakes? And why is this week referred to as "women's"?
The ethnographic event for Kolodiy promises to be fascinating, as visitors will be invited to participate in the kolodka ritual, learn traditional songs, engage in fortune-telling, play the Flirt Kalina game, and dance… Additionally, they can check who hasn't been behaving well at the evening gatherings this year.
