The museum invites visitors
In Kyiv, at the State Toy Museum located at Klovsky Uzviz, 8, a new exhibition of Christmas decorations created by contemporary and past masters has opened.
This information is reported by the museum's website.
According to the museum staff, this year's Christmas exhibition is dedicated to handmade cotton ornaments that breathe new life into the traditions of crafting festive toys.
Visitors will enjoy a unique display of contemporary artworks created by Ukrainian artists, along with a rare opportunity to view antique cotton toys from the early to mid-20th century from the museum's collection.
Additionally, those interested can embark on a historical journey into the world of Christmas decorations: from the first European traditions of the 1500s to the rise in popularity of cotton as a material in the late 19th century; as well as participate in workshops and quests to learn the basics of creating their own Christmas ornaments.
The exhibition will run until January 31, 2025.
