Entertainment activities will continue until spring
Starting today and running until March 2, the National Expo Center, commonly known as VDNH, will kick off its anniversary — the tenth — winter season of entertainment venues as part of the "Winter Country" program.
This was announced by the event organizers.
They shared that every winter, VDNH attracts over a million visitors, half of whom are families with children.
“According to surveys, 96% of guests feel happier after visiting the 'Winter Country'; for them, it’s not just about entertainment but a place to feel carefree, where dreams come alive and new family memories are created,” the VDNH staff revealed.
They also assured that this year, along with the festive atmosphere, guests will experience a true sense of wonder: the VDNH territory will traditionally be filled with fairy-tale characters and the beloved snowmen Nyasha, Dobryak, Rozumnik, Lasun, Vityvnyk, Beshketnyk, and Syayva.
Notably, all the favorite festive locations will operate according to the usual schedule: a massive ice rink covering 2500 sq. m, a Christmas market, the "Greenhouse of Wonders," a Venetian carousel, a Ferris wheel, an Alpine slide, "Santa's Residence," the "Christmas Dream Factory," Animal Park, "Butterfly Planet," the Museum of Science, various attractions, and more.
Meanwhile, after an active day, guests can warm up at the Christmas food court, which will offer grilled dishes, popular fast food — this year featuring a menu from "Rebernya," sweets, mulled wine, and other hot beverages — or at numerous establishments on the VDNH grounds: Coffee Lover, HayLoft 2.0, "Bilyi Nalyv," BPSH, DOT 2, Biologist, "KVITKOVA. Greenhouse," the Asian bistro "Pavilion 98," and others.
In the central square near the Christmas tree, a festive animation program featuring snowmen and fairy-tale characters will take place. The show will run hourly from 12:00 to 18:00.
The New Year's program will take place from November 30 to January 26 on weekends, and during the holiday period from December 23 to January 5 — daily.
Overall, the "Winter Country" at VDNH will be open every day from November 30 to March 2. Admission is free.
Reminder, on Sunday, December 1, the residence of Saint Nicholas will traditionally open at the Great Lavra Bell Tower.
