Winter is coming to an end
The National Exhibition Center, better known as VDNH, will transform into the epicenter of color and spring festivities on March 1-2. The jubilee "Winter Country" is concluding its tenth season and passing the baton to spring, celebrated from Maslenitsa.

This was reported by the press service of the National Exhibition Center.
As its staff explained, Maslenitsa is an ancient tradition marking the farewell to winter, observed in many European countries. In Ukraine, it is also known as Kolodiy, Cheese Week, or Babskyi Festival.
“During these days, people would decorate their homes, remember their loved ones, ask for forgiveness, and hold grand celebrations,” the National Exhibition Center reminded.

Essential attributes of the holiday include dumplings, butter, cheese, and of course, rituals. Given this, the food court menu at the Exhibition Center will feature special dishes that blend ancient recipes with modern flavors: savory and sweet dumplings with various fillings, pancakes, herbal teas, fruit liqueurs, and other traditional beverages.

Visitors can expect a highly authentic program: performances by ensembles "Hromytsia," "Zernyatko," SoloMia, "Kralitsia," bands "DvaTry," "GG HulaiHorod," Baika Band, the choir "Zbyten," and the children's vocal studio "Nota." The festive program will be complemented by collective singing of spring songs, folk dances, and workshops on traditional dances and round dances. There will also be themed workshops on pottery, straw crafts, headscarf tying, and more. Theatrical performances are also planned.
Let's remind that an exhibition has opened at the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra," which immerses visitors in the age of knights, allowing them to feel the spirit of medieval battles and learn about legendary Ukrainian military leaders.
