The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke with American leader Donald Trump. During their conversation, they discussed the possibilities of achieving peace.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from the Ukrainian president.
"I just spoke with Donald Trump. It was an extensive conversation about the possibility of achieving peace. About our readiness to work together at the team level. About our technological capabilities, particularly drones and other modern manufacturing. I am grateful to President Trump for his interest in what we can accomplish together," Zelensky stated.
The President of Ukraine shared that he and Trump specifically discussed the conversation with Scott Bessent and the preparation of a new agreement on security and economic and resource cooperation.
"President Trump informed me about the details of his conversation with Putin. Ukraine desires peace more than anyone. We are defining our joint steps with America to stop Russian aggression and guarantee a reliable, lasting peace. As President Trump said, let's get it done," Zelensky remarked.
At the same time, the Ukrainian leader noted that he and his American counterpart agreed on further contacts and meetings.
Recall that earlier, US President Donald Trump held talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. It is known that they also discussed the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Trump and Putin had a phone conversation that reportedly lasted almost an hour and a half.
