The communication between the United States of America and the Russian Federation bypassing Ukraine implies the exclusion of Europe from this dialogue.

This opinion was expressed on the microblogging platform X by Friedrich Merz, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU/CSU) candidate for Chancellor of Germany, who is leading in the parliamentary elections. According to him, after such complicated election results, his priority is to form a government:

"My impression over the last few days is that Russia and America are uniting - over the heads of Ukraine, and consequently, over the heads of Europe. That’s why everyone is now looking at Germany. How quickly can the Germans form a government after such challenging election results?"

Election in Germany

On February 23, 2025, Germany held early parliamentary elections, the results of which indicate significant changes in the country's political landscape.

The counting is still ongoing; however, exit polls suggest a victory for the "Christian Democratic Union". In second place is the "Alternative for Germany", followed by the "Social Democratic Party of Germany" led by Olaf Scholz.

The Presidents of Ukraine and the United States have already congratulated the CDU/CSU on their victory. At the same time, Merz stated that he wants to achieve Germany's independence from the USA.
