Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups attempted to advance towards Kherson but were eliminated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russians continue to shell Kherson and its suburbs from temporarily occupied areas of the region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups that attempted to advance towards the regional center.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Alexander Prokudin.
According to him, residential areas, critical, and social infrastructure are under fire. Unfortunately, there are casualties among local residents.
"Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups tried to advance towards Kherson but were immediately detected and destroyed by our Defenders. Medical personnel, rescuers, law enforcement, and utility services are working at the scene," Prokudin wrote.
He also urged residents to evacuate the city. This can be done by contacting the "hotline" of the Kherson Regional State Administration at: 0 800 101 102 or 0 800 330 951.
Massive Shelling of Kherson
On the morning of December 20, Russian invaders began shelling Kherson and neighboring settlements with artillery. The city military administration reported three local residents injured.
Recently, Russian military personnel in the field were ordered to prepare for an offensive on the right bank of the Kherson region. This caused panic among the occupiers.
